The Sacred Vows I Make to You, to My Deities and to Myself as a Statement of My Ethical Commitments as a Healing Practitioner
Healer's Oath
Before Hekate, my patron Titaness,
Before Rhiannon, my namesake Goddess,
Before Tezcatlipoca, God of my Underworld,
Before my own Integral Self,
I swear to uphold these vows as I walk the path of healing guide:
To honor my guides, guardians and protectors who see and know more than I ever will.
~
To honor the teachers and lineages that have entrusted me with their knowledge.
~
To honor myself, my needs and my boundaries so I may create strong, safe, healing space.
~
To honor the people who entrust me with their care by holding their concerns and information in confidence, honestly representing the care I can offer, and suggesting the best course of treatment including referring to another practitioner when their needs extend beyond my skill set and/or knowledge.
To ask the permission and counsel of their body, mind, spirit and guides, receiving conscious and energetic consent for any work we do together.
To meet them with unconditional positive regard, without bias, projection or assumption so they may clearly and wholly meet themselves.
~
To remember my role as humble guide and encouraging companion, walking beside those who seek my aid within the bounds of my scope of practice and abilities, releasing them with gratitude when our time is closed.
To listen with all of my senses, staying present and responsive.
To trust my gifts and my magick, learned and innate, by saying what needs to be said and doing what needs to be done no matter how uncomfortable it may feel with truth and love.
To continue to learn, feel and evolve.
~
To acknowledge when I stumble, make amends when needed, and never repeat the same mistake in consciousness.
I will keep these promises and live
Without fear
Without shame
Without judgement
Without doubt
Knowing that should I ever misuse the position or power granted me, they will be stripped from me to uphold the highest good.
