Concerning All Services

 

Rhiannon Flores-Drennen, acting under Philosopher's Stone Bodywork Therapies, LLC, is a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist offering therapeutic massage, bodywork, energy work and health coaching services, not a licensed medical doctor or psychotherapist. As such, ​​

• You understand that we are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat physical or mental illness.

• You understand that you will not receive medical or psychotherapeutic advice or treatment by engaging in any of our services, and that services provided are not a substitute for medical or psychotherapeutic care. 

• You understand that certain medical conditions are contraindicated and not recommended for various forms of massage, bodywork, shadow work, hypnosis, and other services Philosopher's Stone offers. These conditions include, but are not limited to, acute illness such as the flu, uncontrolled mental illness, untreated cardiac or circulatory conditions, pregnancy, thrombosis, untreated injuries, active crisis (as defined by an ongoing and present circumstance in which the individual's physical, mental and emotional safety is unsecured), and ingesting analgesics within 12 hours of your session. You will therefore inform your therapist of all known medical conditions and injuries so appropriate adjustments may be made. 

• Neither Philosopher's Stone nor its practitioners are liable for adverse effects resulting from failure to communicate the existence of medical or mental health conditions or a change in their status.

• In the event it is determined that a service cannot be performed at the scheduled time due to either a medical condition, a mental health condition or an energetic misalignment, we will reschedule for a time when the interfering condition is resolved at no additional cost.

• You understand that all services provided are professional, therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. Violation of this clause will result in immediate termination of the session and/or the client contract without refund. A police report may also be filed.

Concerning Individual Services
 

Cancellation Policies

If you need to reschedule or cancel your session for any reason, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required via text or WhatsApp to +1 (856) 857-7535. Notices sent within the 24 hour period will incur a 50% late fee. If more than 15 minutes of your appointment time elapses and no communication is received, a 100% "no-show" fee will apply.

If you reschedule more than 24 hours before your session, any prepaid funds will be applied to your next appointment.

Cancellation Policies for Packages, Series & Treatment Plans

​When booking services purchased as part of a package, series or treatment plan, the same general policy applies. If you must reschedule or cancel, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required via text or WhatsApp. All best efforts will be made to reschedule within the valid time period. "No-shows" will result in the forfeiture of the session.

Treatment plans, packages and series must be completed within their specified time frames. The time frames for treatment plans may be modified based on your progress as assessed by the practitioner. The period of validity is displayed on your receipt and/or in your client contract. No refunds will be issued for sessions unused after the expiration period.

Refund Policies

All sales for individual services are final. No refunds will be issued. If you feel you have extenuating circumstances, you may email your request for consideration at the address below.

Refunds for treatment plans, packages and series will be issued as follows:
A 100% refund will be issued for requests received within 72 hours of initial purchase.

A 50% refund will be issued for requests received after this 72 hour window but before half of the valid time frame for the package, series or treatment plan has expired.

No refunds will be issued after this period.

Request a refund by contacting Rhiannon at connect@sacralsacred.com. If you feel you have extenuating circumstances that may constitute a refund for an individual session, your request must be made within 3 days of the appointment. Refunds are not guaranteed.

Transferability of Services

Due to the sensitive and energetic nature of the work offered at Philosopher's Stone, sessions, treatment plans, series and packages are non-transferable, and must be used by the original purchaser. Services intended as gifts will only be honored if they are purchased with full knowledge and enthusiastic consent by the intended recipient.

Service Performance

You understand that no specific modality is being scheduled when booking a session. The techniques used at the time of your session will be determined by the practitioner's best judgement of what will most align with your treatment goals.

​

Should any form of shadow work be used, you understand that the effectiveness of the treatment often depends on triggering the shadows. This process can illicit feelings such as fear, sadness, anger, rage, grief, confusion, or other forms of mental/emotional discomfort, and you understand that despite these potential sensations, all work is offered with pure intention, in good faith, and in accordance with your practitioner's training. By its very nature, this work is designed to threaten old belief patterns, question old identities, and expand limiting comfort zones.

Informed Consent

Because we address symptoms that are intimate and sensitive in nature, your practitioner may assess that it is therapeutically beneficial to work with parts of the body that are considered sensitive such as the throat, coccyx, glutes, breasts/pectorals, axilla and pubic bone. Consent will be asked and confirmed before making direct contact with these areas. We may ask questions about your reproductive health, health history, sexual activity, digestive health, trauma history, current internal state and other sensitive health information to clarify and deepen emotional and energetic work. You are not required to provide any information you are not comfortable sharing.
 

In the case of energy work, blanket consent may be asked for and granted at the beginning of a session to ensure the timely application of necessary therapeutic techniques. This will be discussed with you prior to your session. Should written consent be required for any modality, such as breast massage, you agree to provide a signed document.

Your practitioner will educate you on the modalities used and share the clinical reasoning for using particular tools and techniques. Certain tools and techniques may need to be modified based on your current state of physical/mental/emotional well-being.

Client Responsibilities

It is your responsibility as the client to communicate with your practitioner any physical, mental, or emotional pain or discomfort you experience before or during treatment, or that you believe has resulted from treatment. Your practitioner will not be held liable for any failure of communication regarding your needs.
 

You agree to inform your practitioner of any preexisting medical or mental health conditions to ensure the safe and effective delivery of treatment. 

 

You certify that you are mentally, emotionally, and physically capable of receiving these services, and are collaborating with appropriate mental and/or medical health professionals as necessary.

 

Your practitioner reserves the right to terminate service if your practitioner feels that either your or their health, safety, or well-being is at risk. Terminations of this nature are not subject to a refund.

Required Forms

Your intake form must be completed, signed and submitted at least 12 hours prior to your initial appointment. Signing this form constitutes understanding and acceptance of all Philosopher's Stone's terms, conditions, and policies. No service will be performed without this intake on file.​​​

Concerning Group Circles and Classes​​

Rescheduling, Cancellation & Late Arrival

If you are unable to attend a workshop, circle, or a course meeting for which you have registered, inform your facilitator at least 24 hours prior to class, or as soon as possible in the case of an emergency, via text or WhatsApp at +1 (856) 857-7535.

All workshops, circles and course meetings will begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Due to the nature of this work, late arrivals will not be admitted. Doors to the space will be locked at the time class is set to start for security purposes.

Refund Policies

All individual workshop sales are final and non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend a workshop for which you have registered, and follow the cancellation procedures above, the funds you paid for the course will be applied to future services. Failure to communicate a change in attendance will result in a forfeiture of payment.

If you decide a particular long-form circle or course (as defined here by a course that consists of 3 or more sessions, or is to be taken over a period of at least a month) is not a good fit for you after registering, a full refund will be issued if the cancellation request is sent within 72 hours of purchase. A 50% refund will be available if the request is made after this period but before 25% of the scheduled duration of the course has elapsed. No refunds will be issued beyond this period.

Service Performance

It is understood that we may not be able to address all of your unique, individual needs within the context of a group course.

Workshops, circles and courses are offered with the intention of support and for educational purposes and do not constitute medical or mental health advice.

This process can illicit feelings such as fear, sadness, anger, rage, grief, confusion, or other forms of mental/emotional discomfort, and you understand that despite these potential sensations, all work is offered with pure intention, in good faith, and in accordance with your practitioner's training. By its very nature, this work is designed to threaten old belief patterns, question old identities, and expand limiting comfort zones.

Dispute Resolution

Should you experience any dissatisfaction with regard to the circle or course content or delivery, you agree to address these concerns with the facilitator directly. Issues may be raised during live course meetings or no later than 48 hours after an individual class/circle/workshop via email: connect@sacralsacred.com. A good faith effort will be made to find an agreeable resolution within the bounds of Philosopher's Stone's terms, conditions and policies.​

Client Responsibilities

It is your responsibility as the client to communicate with your practitioner any physical, mental, or emotional pain or discomfort you experience during treatment or that you believe has resulted from treatment. Your practitioner will not be held liable for any failure of communication regarding your needs.

You certify that you are mentally, emotionally, and physically capable of participating in these groups, and are collaborating with appropriate mental and/or medical health professionals as necessary.

Required Forms

A contract, syllabus, and/or waiver will be sent to you via email prior to the opening of your circle or course. Signing these forms constitutes understanding and acceptance of all Philosopher's Stone's terms, conditions, and policies. Signed forms must be returned prior to the first meeting or the start of the individual class. You will not be admitted into the workshop, circle or course without these forms on file.​​​​​​
